Through a collective installation, ma-eum invites into a universe that explores questions around belonging and being in-between within the context of transnational adoption.

Video footage from 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul is accompanied by a folding screen, and a hanging space divider. Together, pieces of black scrim fabric meet orchid flowers, Asian pears, and a low folding table sits with Korean tableware.  

ma-eum is an experiment in accessing memory.
